Fantastic news about the class 101!! we really do need some new updated UK content in Trainz.

I make sounds for UK Stuff in Trainz and i have some friends who own a Class 117 DMU at the Mid Norfolk Railway if i ask them im sure they will allow me to get access to the mid norfolks class 101 DMU perhaps i could look into perhaps helping produce sounds for this new model?

Let me know what you think
Cheers
Sam :)

That would be wonderful! Of all things needed for the completed model, realistic sounds would be the most difficult to access. Any sounds you are able to record and compile into engine sounds and horns would be highly appreciated.

As for beta versions, Paul, I haven't made up my mind on that yet, but when the model is more developed, I'll think about that more.

Thanks.

I've created a separate thread for the rolling stock I've been working on (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4446). Progress on the 101 has been going very well, and beta testing for the 101 should be coming soon!

Hi all. I've been quiet for a bit. I've been doing beta testing for the 101 with a few other trainz members for the past month. Here is the progress we've made so far. Hope to post more updates in the future.

Incredible. I can hear the engine turning over and remember how comfy those big upholstered seats were. 8-)

Thanks, guys. I sent you a PM here, James. Not sure if you got it, as I know it doesn't display popups when a PM has arrived.

Regards,
Joseph

Hello. Another progress update. Can't give an ETA yet, but I expect not too far from now. All the sets are now in-game (DMBS, DMCL, DTCL, TSL, TCL, TBSL, and TSLRB). The main things now are the cab, and creating LOD's for each car.

Looking absolutely amazing. I'm envious of your skills.

The pre-refurbished 101's will be released next week. Here's a first-look review video from Samuel Beamon at British Locomotive Studios:

Beautiful model, looks superb!

I'm a little confused after watching the you tube video as to whether this model will be sold as payware through N3V :( , or whether it will be freeware :) ?

It will be freeware on the DLS, like the Prestwin wagons.
