They were definitively around in the IC Swallow era - although the red for catering was dropped from most IC stock in the early 90's.ScottAS2 wrote:Railway modellers everywhere will be thinking Christmas has come early!Nexusdj wrote:From a post on the WNXX forum : LNER have used the Freedom Of Information website to release the new 225 livery specifications guide as a pdf
I'm still torn by the maroon stripe. It adapts a classic livery nicely for the LNER corporate identity, but it's so close to the original it somehow looks as if someone tried and got it wrong. I'm also surprised there's no yellow and red flashes for first class and catering. Did the original IC Swallow predate or omit that convention?

The red stripe was dropped around the time NSE started using it to indicate where the compartments were in the unrefurbished EPB and class 302 units.Briggsy wrote:They were definitively around in the IC Swallow era - although the red for catering was dropped from most stock in the 90's.ScottAS2 wrote:Railway modellers everywhere will be thinking Christmas has come early!Nexusdj wrote:From a post on the WNXX forum : LNER have used the Freedom Of Information website to release the new 225 livery specifications guide as a pdf

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
More possible BR era sectorisation repaints ....
From what I read earlier on another forum a pair of LSL loco hauled Mk3's where seen being shunted on their Crewe depot earlier freshly painted in ScotRail livery which I'm assuming to mean original BR era blue stripe !! Trouble is the post has since disappeared so might of been platform end wibble . I can't find any other evidence on the Interweb either but I'm hoping it's true as they already have a DBSO and blue stripe 47/7

High visibility pixels must be worn when on or about the line !!

It's true; I saw an image of them (probably on Bookface), yesterday.Nexusdj wrote:More possible BR era sectorisation repaints ....

Thanks for that , Though I'm still wondering why the image disappeared off Faceache along with a post about them on a forum ?

Perhaps that Marky7890 fella has been moonlighting on the side and got a bit trigger happy with the delete button?Nexusdj wrote:Thanks for that , Though I'm still wondering why the image disappeared off Faceache along with a post about them on a forum ?

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
Now that's nice! That and IC Swallow were the best two liveries on the HST.
Just needs a Valenta engine now to finish it
