Re: Centro returns
Nice as it is, it does seem strange spending all that money on paint/vinyls for a set that's probably headed for the North West within 18 months. It surprises me, given WMT are under a management contract, that DfT green lit this, as well, at a time when they're pointedly refusing to assist with neg...

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
More possible BR era sectorisation repaints .... From what I read earlier on another forum a pair of LSL loco hauled Mk3's where seen being shunted on their Crewe depot earlier freshly painted in ScotRail livery which I'm assuming to mean original BR era blue stripe !! Trouble is the post has since...

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
From a post on the WNXX forum : LNER have used the Freedom Of Information website to release the new 225 livery specifications guide as a pdf :D Railway modellers everywhere will be thinking Christmas has come early! I'm still torn by the maroon stripe. It adapts a classic livery nicely for the LNE...

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
Rumour has it that LNER are thinking of putting the mk4 sets onto the Yorks, as well as the Leeds. However, get 'em while you can; it's been suggested that a contract for 10 (presumably) IETs could be signed within months!

Re: 22/06 - June 2022 Screenshots
Excellent shots all :D I've looked for any photographic evidence that Voyagers passed through Larbert, but haven't found any. That doesn't mean it didn't happen; as it's possible the Aberdeen workings could be diverted via Perth, if any engineering work falls between Markinch and Ladybank. Just tha...

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
I'll wait and judge the colour scheme, when a full set is unveiled; though, that maroon band does take a little getting used to.

Re: 91119 & 91124
Be nice to get a line up at some stage with the 89 LSL 90 and a Swallow 91 :D Well, the 89 and one of LSL's 90s is certainly a possibility for a line up; given the ACLG have gone into a five yea partnership with LSL :D Wish hard enough and we could maybe see a full 86, 87, 89, 90 & 91 lineup 8-)

Re: 91119 & 91124
Wonder if some of the other 91's end up in Swallow to match ? If what's been hinted at, on a certain well known website, is correct, the rest of the surviving LNER 91s will also be receiving the Intercity-like colour scheme. It's a shame, really; I'd have liked to see one put in the IET colour sche...

Re: 91119 & 91124
91119 has also gone to Neville Hill, on the "comeback trail"; should go nicely with the ICS liveried mk4 sets!electra wrote:And now, LNER appear to have changed their minds about, at the very least, 91124...

Re: Mk4's now in IC Swallow
Not sure at the moment whether they are for preservation or for mainline use with a TOC . Posts on WNXX saying these are possibly for use with the LNER TOC on the ECML who have stated that the remaining Mk4 sets & class 91's will be repainted/ vinyled in another livery when they become due for ...

Re: Central Scotland - Edinburgh - Glasgow - Dunblane
Interesting. I wonder why a class 108 was in Glasgow, at that time; none were north of the border (special trains aside) between 1968 and 1983 :o The Scotrail liveried 47 sitting by the depot would suggest the screenshot is post 83. It's a bit difficult to see, is that ScotRail Duff ;) I rechecked ...

Re: 91119 & 91124
If you haven't already seen either of these, I'd do it sooner rather than later. End of the Line reports that both are coming up to their next major overhauls and neither has been authorised (rumours, a few weeks back, suggested that two of the stored machines might be reinstated and these two even...

Re: Central Scotland - Edinburgh - Glasgow - Dunblane
Bit more scenery added around Eastfield with a Queen St bound 108 heading off the Maryhill line. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51956108713_4c0dc18e5a_b.jpg Interesting.
