Re: New Project 2022
A tad west of Thornhill LNW Junction is a spot ideal for viewing the signal gantries for the junction: A 47/3 47324 heads a steel slab train west https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52326568638_aebb05b848_k.jpg A Class 37 heads over the junction towards Leeds with a Speedlink train https://live.stat...

Re: New Project 2022
I am tempted to add to the ends, Dewsbury is only a couple of miles east and Huddersfield only a couple of miles west, but I do hate populating and landscaping towns! Unfortuately, with it being in TRS2009, no chance of sharing it on DLC I'm afraid. :( ., but thanks for the comment, pacerguy :D Rega...

New Project 2022
After seeing many videos of Heaton Lodge - the largest 'O' gauge layout in the country, I decided to model it in Trainz. I already have it in Train Sim World 2, but thought it might be nice to get it more interactive. I've modelled from Ravensthorpe station and the Thornhill LNW Junction to Bradley ...

Re: Sound fade-out
Thanks for the info guys. I had the draw distance on 4500, so slammed it to the max! and its a bit better, but I found that not using my headphones is the answer - or rather, what is needed is ambient sounds in-game for the loco sounds to fade into. Now my search is on for ambient sounds...

Sound fade-out
Hi,
I've noticed that when I stand and watch the trainz go by, (on TS2009), the train sound fades away nicely until about 400m, then abruptly disappears. Is there a setting I can change to alter that distance or the fade out rate please?
Regards,
Dave

Loughborough, GCR
Hi,
Does anyone know of any assets suitable for Trainz 2009 depicting Great Central buildings, esp Loughborough station buildings, and the footbridge. I'm currently building the footbridge from component assets, but it would be must easier if someone has already modelled it complete.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: FTP links
Bolivar, what you suggested seemed familiar and when I looked it up it was something I had done while searching for a solution. This time I discovered the Beta version of Chrome, so I downloaded that and tried again - to no avail. There is no mention of FTP in the entire list of flags in the compreh...

Re: FTP links
Thanks for the replies. I tend to use both DLS and Content Manager to complement each other, as sometimes I cannot download from CM, but am able to from DLS. As an example, I'm attempting to download Greeni's new breakdown train. It is listed on DLS, but I cannot download it (no FTP), but it is not ...

FTP links
My computer is telling me that neither Firefox nor Google Chrome is supporting FTP links, so I cannot download from the DLS. Does anyone known of a browser that is still supporting FTP links please?

Re: New Project
Very good! Bodmin Road, not to be confused with Bodmin Parkway! It's probably a bit of a hybrid as its set in early 1980's but still has fully funtioning goods yard, which I'm not sure was reality then. Also, no preserved railway - the branch to Bodmin General and beyond is still BR managed. https:/...

Hi,
A pic from my latest project. I'm sure some will recognise the location.

Re: Bogie issue
Ive put the Motorail GUVs into my TS12 and they are fine, so it does seem to be a TR2009 problem. Oh well, Motorail flatbeds it is at Kings Cross then.
