Me again.

Taking a break from downloading and testing so many steam engines and wagons/carriages recommended by you recently, and I'm back to a laying track, and with a section nearly finished, I'd like to start fleshing out the area, beginning with the roads.

I remember from back in the day that the DS roads were quite good because as well as looking good, they had the pavement built-in, with spline roads and fixed-track objects for the juntions, and although they weren't perfect, I liked them.
Problem is, in TANE there seems to mostly be no traffic on them, and occasionally when I do see traffic on them, they are sometimes going sideways or backwards.
Don't remember them having this problem in earlier versions.

So, wondering what assets you use for your routes.
For me, a good road and pavement system can make or break how realistic a built-up area looks.

I'm currently looking through the DLS, but thought I'd see if anyone has any recommended assets.
I'm thinking of creating my own set if I can't find anything suitable, but I'd like to be sure there wasn't anything already out there before taking on a project like that.

Cheers.

I'm a big fan of clam1952's CL roads myself

Try nexusdj's roads. They all start with NEX and there are various configurations, including a couple with bridge deck built in.

Thanks guys.

I've just downloaded a few of each, and played around with them, and they're exactly what I was looking for.
They're going to make a big difference to the route.

Cheers.

Cheers Bolivar.
Just played around with a set of those, and definitely going to use those too.

I could have spent several hours on the DLS looking for something suitable, and probably not found anything, so I'm glad I asked those in the know.

Cheers guys.
