TRS19 Service Pack December 18th 2020

Post by gamerouche »

Anybody got any comments after applying the latest update?

My update went ok with no problems. Looking at Content Manager afterwards, I discovered that a large quantity of my downloaded Locos & Rolling Stock have been broken and appear in red.

I'm not a happy Bunny and the only difference I can see is the updated loading screen where they've added a few buildings.

Big Deal.

At least I've still got TANE installed.

Probably need to update all the Payware you have from the content store, I had to do that on the install I hadn't been keeping up to date which sorted it, main install was fine no problems.

The updating from the content store mostly ends in an error, cancel when you get the error and it clears update having been installed, known bug.

Tried to update my Payware routes but they got so far then bombed out with error messages.

Most frustrating.

Also noticed that all my installed routes are broken with missing textures & not one is error free according to content manager. Now downloading approx 2000 items that were installed already.

What's that all about?

I'm going to hang fire for a day or two , Servers are probably getting hammered at the moment plus I've read a few posts on the Auran forum about updating problems with the Platinum edition which is what I have installed .

New British route plus a 153 and WCRC 47 & Mk1's for the Pay monthly brigade , Is this an updated version of your Looe route Mark or another authors ?

It is indeed an update of my Liskeard - Looe route, I've kept quiet about it until now. Rob Shaw from N3V emailed me several months ago about including it in the next release, I gave them permission to go ahead and update it to TRS2019 standards, I could have done it but was too busy with my main route. The 47 and coaches were built for the route to recreate a railtour which went down to Looe last year, and the 153 was created for it as that was the main traction used on the line, I suggested the Regional Railways livery for it.

I'm yet to try the new trains out myself, due to it only working for SP2, (a beta download has been linked to my account) which I'm currently updating to, although I was sent a copy of the route a few months ago to try out to see if I liked what they had done.

I think the plan will be to eventually release the route and 47, coaches and 153 as a single DLC pack, although I'm still awaiting conformation from N3V about if it will be DLC.

I've managed to update with no problems, had to update built in route as some dependencies were showing errors.

A known bug that N3V still haven't fixed, when you get the error message about version mismatch, just click the cancel button and the update option magically goes away as the update has actually been installed, had to do that on all the Payware updates apart from one which unbelievably didn't have an error.

Screenshot (559).png
Reading the Auran forum regarding the latest update to TRS19, there appears to be a real cross section of comments, some good, some bad & some downright confusing.

One of the latter is giving me a terminal case of the nadgers.

I just can't work out why Tmz06003's superb class 44,45,46 locos which worked fine in my pre updated TRS19 installation & TANE are all now showing up as faulty & I am at a loss to fix them.

Hope you can read the screenshot ok.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards Gam :?:

kuid2:283805:50087:1 is BR class 45-1 no 1 end bogie 2 sandboxes .

On my SP1 install of 2019 it shows these as dependencies of that bogie :
<kuid2:101839:52:2> Class 40 air pipe uncoupled
<kuid2:283805:46996:1> BR class 46 reshoses uncoupled
<kuid2:101839:44:2> Class 40 vacuum pipe coupled low
<kuid2:283805:45996:1> BR class 45-1 ETH jumpers coupled
<kuid2:60850:89100:11> ACSlib
<kuid2:101839:50:2> Class 40 air pipe cross coupled
<kuid2:101839:34:3> BR Class 40 Screwlink Coupled
<kuid2:101839:35:3> BR Class 40 Screwlink Uncoupled
<kuid2:101839:45:2> Class 40 vacuum pipes coupled high
<kuid:283805:45997> BR class 45-1 ETH jumpers uncoupled
<kuid2:101839:46:2> Class 40 Vacuum Pipe Uncoupled

Looking at your error it's saying that one of the dependencies listed above is faulty in your install of 2019 SP2 .

Right click on the faulty bogie (kuid2:283805:50087:1) in content manager and select list dependencies and see which ones are flagged up faulty , then if you cant fix it post an image on here of the error(s) and we'll see if it can be fixed .

Check the dependencies of that bogie are all builtins, if not revert to original. It's OK here but noticed one of the vacuum pipes was locally modified, reverted it to builtin.

Thanks for your replies, you will now see the faulty dependencies, reverting to original doesn't make any difference.

Another strange thing is that when I posted the previous screenshot, all the locos in question showed up in Red. Today, they're showing up in Black & marked "Installed from the DLS"

It's only when I get into the game that they show up in Red in the add loco menu.

Hope this helps.

Open those faulty ones for edit, then revert to original, if still showing faulty, use the asset preview, that often clears the problem, think it's caching issue in that it's not always getting cleared in Manage content, this problem has existed for a long time and still hasn't been fixed yet!

Sudden thought, check the mesh library, the vac pipes etc use a mesh library, that may need reverting? if you list dependencies of one of those faultys you will find the mesh library.

Yeah I had to do the above for the speedtrees, simply opening them for edit and commiting them solved it.
