Re: Cornish Railways (TS2019 & 2022) v1.6 out now - July 2024!

Post by Marky7890 »

I have now updated the route to 1.5.1!
This is a smaller update - The Bodmin & Wenford Railway section vegetation has been updated with a couple more tree types and lineside shrubs and vegetation added to give it a bit more realism, the mainline at Bodmin Parkway has also been given the same treatment, which matches the other updated passenger branches so far.
There are plans for an session on this area as well.

It can be downloaded from the routes page of my website

The Looe branch had a small update the other day, adding new custom splines for some of the over bridges, which used to be packaged items.

Version 1.6 is now out, and can be downloaded from here: https://british-trainz.co.uk/index.php?page=routes

Changes are a couple more trees and lots more trackside vegetation has been added to the Fowey and St Ives branches. The West Cornwall golf course has also been added to the St Ives branch, which is right next to the railway, I also remembered to add some trackside cameras at some of the footbridges and scenic locations on the line.

All five passenger branch lines - St Ives, Falmouth, Newquay, Looe, Gunnislake and the Bodmin Heritage Railway now have multiple passenger train sessions which have been tested and work as expected, They all run to current or recent real timetable times. Most of them use Class 150/153 Sprinters, which are the stock that is currently used or recently used, The Falmouth branch has a couple of Class 158 Sessions as these did work the line as few times a couple of years ago when no 150 was available, as a 158 or 2 was serviced at Longrock depot overnight. The Newquay branch also has two 2+8 HST sessions as these were on the summer long distance trains to and from Paddington, now worked by IETs (Class 800/802s). The Looe branch also has a couple of bubble car sessions, as these were used in the 80s, but also give a nice passenger view of the passing scenery.

I still have a St Ives to Penzance session to test as well.

There are only a couple of mainline passenger services currently, but I am planning on building more.

Re: Cornish Railways (TS19/22) v1.7 out now - August 2024!

Post by Marky7890 »

Version 1.7 has just been released!

The main update is the Parkandillack Freight branch has now been updated with a couple more tree types and added shrubs and more vegetation to the lineside areas so it now matches all the other branchlines.

Replaced most of the old tanks in the China Clay mining areas with my own new custom ones, also added lineside cameras to the Parkandillack Branch, and turned the loading/unloading points into useable industries. Replaced a few overbridges on the Newquay branch, and added level crossing name signs to crossing on the Newquay branch. St Blazey roundhouse industrial estate also now has the areas between the fences in use, rather than being empty. And I've moved the yellow coaster fences from the route layer back into their own hidden layer on the template session.

Version 1.8 of Cornish Railways is now released!
Changes being:
The whole of the Liskeard to Bodmin Parkway section of mainline has now been updated adding more lineside vegetation like shrubs, ferns and Flowers, and a couple more types of tree added to the woods (Which there is a lot in this section!) and hedgerows.
Also shrubs and grasses have been added to the causeway section of track which runs between the old river and flood channel at St Blazey on the very Southern end of the Newquay branch.
The concrete base at Par Harbour has also been replaced with a higher resolution concrete spline.
