Re: 24/12- December 2024 Screenshots
Oops, I apparently forgot what month it was. I'm too young to be having senior moments like this!
A busy moment at Wendsey Central:
A class 368/0 arrives with a Perintree - Bromingham Central service. The 368s were previously used on the cross-city Citylink route, before being converted to mainline standard - an interior refit to include 1st class, uprating to 110mph, and the removal of their DC shoegear - in order to increase capacity on mainline services:
The ex-citylink 368 is joined by another unusual visitor, a class 389 working an Awsworth - Bromingham Central service. The class 389s are usually used on the more flagship routes, so one turning up on an Awsworth semifast is rare:
477601 joins the fray on a Bromingham Central - Awsworth working. The 477/6s were Hayden Trains' first new fleet, and while they're now largely relegated to secondary services, they still play an important role. 477601 was painted into a special version of the Hayden Trains livery, using a red & green colour scheme as a throwback to the original 2009 livery:

A typically busy view of Waverley as I recall it in the early 90s.
A London - Aberdeen HST set sits in platform 19 and a 156 DMU for Bathgate is in 18. A pair of Class 158s on an Edinburgh - Glasgow express leaves platform 14, with another set in 13, having arrived from Helensburgh Central. A Class 156 is in it's usual place on platform 12 bound for Dunblane while a Glasgow to London Kings Cross service has arrived in platform 11.
