The South London Line (1909 - 1910)

Post by car112 »

Hello everyone! It has been quite a long time since I’ve posted here. After the cancelation of my previous original route featuring the LBSCR Class SL, I have decided to create a new project:

The South London Line Elevated Electric (1909 - 1910)

This will be a route featuring the South London Line from London Victoria to London Bridge, making the following stops:

London Victoria
Battersea Park Road
Wandsworth Road
Clapham High Street
East Brixton
Denmark Hill
Peckham Rye
Queens Road Peckham
Old Kent Road
South Bermondsey
London Bridge

I hope this is the correct list of station stops along the line during the time when the LBSCR Class SL used the 6.7 kV AC overhead lines.

The fleet will be 8 LBSCR Class SL 3-car sets:

1E
2E
3E
4E
5E
6E
7E
8E

These 3-car sets are DMBT-TF-DMBT.

DMBT: Driving Motor Brake Third
TF: Trailer First

Four trains maintained the timetable service, with two spare units and two units undergoing maintenance at London Victoria.

This route will focus on the time period when the 3-car sets were in service from December 1909 to October 1910.

I would like to source this website here for the majority of research about the LBSCR Class SL stock: https://www.bloodandcustard.com/LBSCRSL.html

Progress on the route will be slow, but it’ll be fun to do research and see what can be done to create this route. If anyone would like to help contribute to this route, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. Happy Holidays, and stay awesome!
